  • for those who is interested, I had a bad experience with the Arlec wireless alarm kit (AM720) which started to behaving weirdly from cannot be armed, or giving a false alarm at 1AM which cannot be disarmed by entering the correct code.
and that was only after 2 months of using it..

but feel free to try it yourself if you want, since it's Bunnings you should be able to get a refund for a faulty unit anyway.

  • Bunnings are interesting with their clearance items. as far I can see they have 3 types

    1. promotional items which will eventually appear at most stores.

    2. they have ' items that they found 'in corners and not sold.

    3. and sale items

good luck on working out witch

You can actually tell by the type of price label it has.

      1. Promotion items will not usually be stocked on the shelf, they appear on a pallet (in between isles or at the end of an the isles) or as a 'side-stack' which line most isles. These will have an orange sticky-taped price label - usually hand-written. Generally each store receives an allocation of stock to sell.

      2. Clearance stock (aka found in the corner) will appear either as noted above, or as a normal stocked item on the shelf. These clearance items will identified by a yellow label (as shown in the picture on this post). These will vary greatly depending on how each store sells through its stock.

      3. Bunnings doesn't have sale items as such, it will have price-matched items which will are generally the normal stocked products on the shelf but they will have a little orange price tag stuck over the usual price sticker. These price labels will generally be printed.

      • Jimboss good call - Now we should know - happy face - thanks

Check the label for the fine line number and see if it has a P before it, promotional items are the ones bought in and when they are sold, they are sold.

        • Thanks that good to know. For me, if interested buy, and return if not suitable for needs. As you have taught us - if sold then its sold and you miss out.

  • Swannstore often clear out the Outback cam for $5-$10 - email them.. ("was $176"…Dreaming Bunnings).
They also have a refurb wireless alarm kit for $40 odd. Not the Arlec, but that may be a good thing.
