Yea, Woolies will be better .. unless they run out … I wonder if 7-11 price matches?
lol I sincerely doubt 7-11 will price match.
Yep, they will definitely price match and record your card serial number in a list and send this list to Sony and told them to reduce the value of these cards down to 1/2 it's original value

This is a good backup plan.
There will be a lot of comment saying the saving come from the poor employee's pay…..
Can we use this to buy Playstation plus membership?
Why not. Just wallet up the amount and just buy it.
yes you can
Don't forget to use ING paywave for extra 2% off.
Bah! ME paywave 5% off ftw!
7-11 price match the employees wages to third world countries:)
What is the expiry date of this PSN Cards? DO I have to use the credit in certain time? MY PSN membership expires next year so just wondering Can I buy now and use later?
Firstly, buy them from Woolworths for 20% of starting tomorrow (plus Cashrewards 5% = 22.5% total discount), secondly, the card will expire 12 months after it is validated, however, the funds in your PSN wallet never expire, but they are capped at $250. So you can buy tomorrow, and then in 363 days’ time, use it to fund your wallet.
Then another 2.4% cashback when buying through the PSN store. Almost 25% off in total.
How do you get cashrewards when you can't purchase PSN cards online?
EDIT:
Sorry just found out you can buy woolworths gift cards for 5% off from cashrewards.
But do they let you use gift card to purchase PSN cards? Last I know target does not allow it.
Yes, I have done it before.
doh, i didn't realise it was 12 months .. I just tested one, about 18 months old and they still work .. phew .. i better redeem the rest of them, just in case
I am pretty sure the card says something like "12 months from date of purchase". I forgot I had a bunch from when Harv Norm had them on special. $150 down the drain.
Yep, confirmed - http://au.playstation.com/psn/news/articles/detail/item22873…
@snuke: well, a good excuse to spend $30 + to get the 3 months free stan
Get a 10% staff discount on top of that 20% as well. Works for me. :)
The T&C of that deal say that staff discount remains at 5% for gift cards.
Confirmed, it was only 5% staff discount on card this morning.
Wish some one would do the same for Xbox card :(
Why are people down voting this? How old are we..
Is there a limit on how many cards you can buy?
PSN cards still available at Haymarket 7/11, but Haymarket Woolworths has removed/sold out of $30 cards.
Same with Woolworths opposite Sydney Town Hall. Checked both levels this afternoon and none were available.
Anyone unable to add their funds to their wallet? I keep getting error messages.
I added two cards, 3rd had error, signed out and back in again, all good.
Same here. I have tried 2 of my cards.
Can we use the fund to buy PSP yearly subscription?
I believe so, yes.
That's the reason I bought mine.
Do NOT leave the store until you get all the receipts. There should be at least three to four of them (depending on if you pay cash or card)
- Two Playstation Network Card activation confirmations
- One Tax invoice + Eftpos, if that's how you paid.I just accepted the Eftpos receipt for my purchase from Haymarket, and now I've got two useless bits of plastic with $30 written on them until Sony or 7-Eleven fixes it. The ETA for a Sony fix is 10 business days, but that was with a receipt. I have no way of knowing if they'll accept it. 7-Eleven refused to give a solid date, but said "probably no more than a week".
Just bought 5 x $30 PSN cards from Woolies Ferntree Gully VIC, plenty left there if anyone wish to pick them up.
I asked about the receipt and the cashier told me the cards will be automatically activated once transaction is complete.
I got the 5 x receipts for each activation.
Nvm found it….how do i buy ps plus with the funds from the psn cards without having to enter a payment method? Sony always says my info is invalid so i bought the psn cards to buy ps plus but now its still asking for a payment method -_-
Bought 4x $30 PSN cards from Point Cook 7-Eleven, lots of stock
I just asked for all the receipts because who knows what goes on. All working and good :) Savings all day
I think the Woolies deal is better at $30 for $24 albeit starts tomorrow.
