A key will work for all regions. But if your account in is one region, you cannot use the same account in another.
Hi Sunman,
I'm Richard and I work with GamesDeal.com. We are glad to see that you help share our deals to Austrilian users.
I'd like to have further discussion with you and you can reach out to me here : http://www.gamesdeal.com/contact/Hi rep, while I would love to help out I just don't get the time. I see this TA user to be quite active for this sort of stuff. Perhaps you could approach the user somehow.
Hi Sunman, why do you think the price for Legacy of the Void will drop very quickly upon release? I am a huge fan and was wondering if i should wait.
if you absolutely do not need to play it day 1
if you wait till christmas or January prices usually hit the $25 mark
that or there is some other sale which will allow you to get it much cheaper
SC is launching at a really crowded time this year, so sales should drop so stores like big w/jb will wanna clear stock asap
Once the game gets released there will be high demand and cdkey websites will try and cash in. But its just a theory.
For people that aren't aware, we now have Aus servers when playing in NA region.
OCEANIC server will have even less people.
so youre saying we can joint NA server and be connected to a local server? how do they match ppl tho if the NA players are still connected to NA servers
This might help

If you play against another Aus player, then you both will connect to the Aus server and receive lower pings.
thats awesome
I play StarCraft and diablo and no Australia servers for me to select from. With Australian internet speeds I can barely play single player. Multi player is just not possible.
Diablo 3 and SC2 has Australian servers which you connect to automatically when playing in NA. (http://www.pcgamer.com/starcraft-2-now-has-australian-server…)
The Australian servers are synced with NA servers. You can't choose to connect to the Aus server, you are routed through it.
For Diablo 3, if you play with other Aus players, you all will benefit the lower latency. However, the moment a US player joins your game, you all will suffer higher latency as you'll now be connected to the US server.SC2 Aus server may be setup a little different, but should be rather similar to D3… I haven't tried it yet for multiplayer, but will do once LOTV available to play.
How is it you're barely able to play single player? There should be zero lag for both SC2 and D3 single player. Internet connection is only required to authenticate your session, therefore, no offline play.
For diablo 3 single player runs somehow online. Think map and loot generation are all run by bnet servers. This is what causes lag. Thx tho for the clarification on the aus servers. But still doesn't help me as my internet connection is just too slow. I just live in a very congested area.
Regarding your D3 experience, try this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12372787193.
That should help you to connect to AUS server while playing in NA server.
Who's your ISP and what's your sync connection like?
You can also run a trace route too, over here: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/running-a-tracerout…
ehh this one is a little cheaper
https://cdkeys.com.au/products/StarCraft-II:-Legacy-of-the-V…
note i've never bought from these guys before
Price must of gone up its $55 now
Never saw the price of any Blizzard games dropping in the first 12 months on battlenet, unless you are talking about local retailers.
buying on bnet is like walking into the applestore to buy an iOS device at retail price
why would you do that?
cd key sites + retail is the way to go until 2-6 months down the track where the retailers clear stock and bnet starts having 40% off sales
Damn I still have $200 on my battle.net account from selling items on the diablo 3 auction house but I never use it because I always find stuff much cheaper from other stores.
if youre being sarcastic then you must also realise not everyone plays diablo and not everyone who does has that kind of balance accrued either
so great work using an execption scenario as a counter point that doesnt apply to the generic public as general advice
@furythree:
I was agreeing with you furythree, even though I have lots of money in my battle.net account that is useless for anything except blizzard games, I still buy all my blizzard games from third party stores because the battle.net prices are always much higher.@videoman: ah right im glad lol
They rarely drop the battlenet price, agreed.
That being said, I predict this one, they will definitely. This game isn't going to sell what WoL did.
This sounds like a good price. IMO, I would be reluctant to pay over $40-45 for an EXPANSION. From memory I bought:
- Wings of Liberty ($70) - makes sense; it's a brand new game engine and everything was just new
- Heart of the Swarm ($45) - also makes sense; they just added to the existing game engine, new units, new cinematics, new missions, etc
But Legacy of the Void for like $60 from Jb Hi-Fi? No way! It's just another expansion, with new units, new cinematics…you get the drill. It should be priced for no more than Heart of the Swarm. We're not getting $60 worth of new content (correct me if I'm wrong), let's just put it that way…
If you want an actual physical box (to complete your collection) you'll have to wait for in store prices to drop (unless you don't mind the price).
As a final point of reference, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls could be purchased from JB Hi-Fi for $45 (dropping to as low as $35 after the first few months). That was an EXPANSION which opened up so much new content to the vanilla game - new level cap, Adventure mode (you almost can't play Diablo 3 without the expansion now).
There is a 4% payment fee on top of that price.. takes it up to $44.15 AUD - may as well just get a physical copy
This may be a US region key.
I haven't followed SC2 in a long time - but exceedingly few regions got "multi-region" access, one of the few being Australian keys, got AU and US realm access, because AU has so few players. They screwed most other regions.
However I can't recall if it's about the KEY or the ACCOUNT? :/ it's been a long time.
Still may be info worth clarifying before buying.
(I refuse to pay more than $20 for this game, HoTS sucked, they don't deserve my money)
