I am waiting for the Xbox One FIFA16 bundle to be delivered from Target (from eBay sale) and I have a headset question.
From what I understand, if the controller doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack then I will need the stereo headset adapter to plug in a different headset and this will allow game audio and chat to come through the headset. However, if the controller does have the 3.5mm jack, can I simply plug in a headset to get game audio and chat without needing the stereo headset adapter?

damn :( I purchased the FIFA 16 bundle as well but yet to open it. Maybe people are getting different stock dates? Because technically FIFA 16 was just a code chucked in the Target shipping box and not into the actual Xbox One Box (if that makes sense).
Yep, mine was a plain box with a separate FIFA/EA Access Token card. You might be lucky enough to get newer stock, but I wouldn't count on it! ;)

@Adventitia: Ordered 30/10, received 5/11. I was optimistic too, but twas not to be I'm afraid. :'(
That said, for $321 I'm not too upset, I was gonna buy a second controller anyway, most likely a Halo MC one, which definitely is the new design, so that will be my weapon of choice.
@StewBalls: Yeah exactly, I purchased an extra controller for around ~$50 from target which has the 3.5mm port. But for people who didn't i guess they will have to purchase an adapter :( I do believe the 1TB consoles that Target were selling included the 3.5mm controller (lucky people)

Bought a simple jack before but did not end up using it. Use the Kinect if you have one bundled with its built in.
You linked to xbox 360 adapters. I don't think they will work.
That is correct. I believe the FIFA 16 bundle includes the controller with the 3.5mm audio jack. Don't take my word for it though, it's just what i read on the deal page comment section.
