I have two wireless Xbox 360 controllers that I want to use on my computer, so I am looking for a usb receiver
there are a lot of cheap fakes on eBay, but I don't want to hassle with controller issues any more after trying to connect my DS3's
Does anyone know somewhere where I can buy official receivers that are ~$10

If you buy the MS Xbox 360 Wireless Controller "For Windows" it comes in the box. They're around $35-40 though I've seen them get as low as $27 sometimes. I've not seen the legitimate ones sold separately anywhere.
Maybe you have a mate who - like me - already has the receiver and wants to get an extra controller. Then you could go halvies. They get the controller they want, you get the receiver you want. Everybody wins.

Do you want the box? I only took the controller and batteries. The CD, manuals and USB receiver is still it the box not taken out.
I will go the Austpost to look for a sachet to fit it. so, I can give you the postage cost.

My fake one works great. Bought on ebay.
Sadly the fakes are easier to find (and in my experience work well). They (official) were usually sold with a controller like mine was and therefore more expensive….
Edit: A quick check shows minimum of $20.00 and most are higher or bundled with a controller…. fakes are $5-$10 tho…. sorry.
