Hey all,

My first deal.

Apparently limited to first 500 people only. MELBOURNE only. ONE PER HOUSEHOLD.

Pick your glasses and put in your prescription and use the MELBOURNE code to get the frames and lenses free.

You pay shipping which ends up to be $15 ($9.95 + $5.95 insurance).

If you don't know your prescription or simply want the frame, just put 0.00 for the left and right lens.

There are some nice designer frames there (Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein).

          • @sugasw33t: As the OP, I was surprised when I saw that mine was cancelled! I rang up customer service who took my name and number and rang me back.

            They rang and left a voicemail.

            I rang them back and had great customer service.

            They said it was cancelled because there were two specs going to the same address. Kinda silly because I used my work address and a colleague of mine also ordered.

            Lady on the phone promptly let me change the shipping address and put the order through!

            PS: They haven't replied my original email to them. CALL them instead of emailing to get a faster response.

    and that my glasses will arrive in 10 -15 days.

      • Just sent them an email after placing my order querying if i was eligible for the promotion in the location i lived and if i wasn't could they cancel the order.
        But they said i was eligible and so yer im happy :)

        Dont really understand your "when you live in Melbourne" i clearly said i live in Perth.

    So I have to wait 3 months for my glasses to arrive or did they mix up their date/month format? Very sus if you ask me… I'm going to request clarification and/or a refund.

    • Perhaps different date format (someone mentioned they are Canadian?) which means 02-05-2010 is 5 Feb

  • Yes I got the same email, I thought the date was strange too, but then realised it must be american format. Mines not until the 9th…..cant wait to get them…

    • I got this exact email for my only order. Very disappointed. I emailed them asking why and haven't received a reply yet. I will call them up tonight and seek clarification. My order went through, I paid, and the next day they cancelled it without even notifying me (I had to check the tracking for myself to realised it).

  • got the same email as well but only on one of my orders which has lens modification. i guess if you ordered lenses with personal prescription requirement they'll need to custom it for you. happy i got 3 orders through :D

    • Lucky you ordered then! Since it has been shipped, that means they didn't really care if you were not in Melbourne itself. As for the payment thing, the commenter below is right, they don't need you to pay until you get the item.

      Thats not what i agreed to on their site , i agreed to pay when they are ready to be shipped. Now that they are shipped they have voided the contract

        I don't understand what your problem is here. The site says they require payment 30 days from invoice date - but you wanted to pay before they were shipped? So what's the problem unless you didn't intend to go ahead with the purchase? Or do you think they may charge you the full price because you are in Sydney?

    • Weird. Why was one of my orders cancelled.

      • My order got cancelled for unknown reasons as well. I try calling them but never get through. I emailed them, and since then they reviewed it and rightfully so reinstated my order. Call or Email them.

  • Just an update… the dates were actually in this format: mm/dd/yyyy. I quote from the reply I received:
    "Upon reviewing your account, it shows that your order is to be complete by February 05, 2010. At that time, they will be sent back to our shipping offices, to be routed out directly to you."

  • Just noticed I've been charged $16.30 on my credit card which includes an 'overseas txn fee'.

    Anyone know how long delivery takes? I'm assuming they are being sent from o/seas.

  • I have received a box from them which can only be the glasses, will open it later and report back.

        it was just my normal post in a small box from California, USA. i received the glasses in a little materiel bag that was in a hard case. also a little screw driver and cleaning cloth. the quality is fantastic, however the glasses are too big that they fall off my nose.
        Im pretty happy though. might look into ordering again.

  • To anyone that received their glasses today, would you mind to tell us when they shipped your glasses please ? I'm in Melb and have mine shipped on 9 Feb, and still waiting, it's 10 days tomorrow. Hopefully coming soon. And to all that had too small/ big glasses, I think you can send it back with free shipping and get a new one that suits you, worth to call them if you really like the glasses.

  • Mine arrived (Melb) yesterday (18th) shipped on 9th Feb.

    Frames - Hugo Boss, can't say if they are genuine or not, case was generic, also included a discount voucher to pass to a friend. Prescription seems ok so this is a bargain for a back-up pair of reading glasses.

    • I did that too man. I'm using the Express Post Prepaid Satchel 500g to get it up here. Hopefully it doesn't break along the way…

    Hey, apparently you can have one free exchange if you don't like the glasses. I ordered one and the prescription was wrong so I emailed them, they replied on the next day and say I can choose another frame and give them the correct prescription. Haven't received the new pair yet, still waiting.
