SiteGround Web Hosting | Save 25% on StartUp - US$2.95 (AU$4.15)/Month and US$1/month on Others

10

When signing up to SiteGround, I tried to close the browser tab by clicking on it's "X" when I was on the "Step 3 - Review & Complete" page…
…and I got a javascript popup offering a US$1 per month saving if I stayed on the page!

Discounts are on the 1-year plan. The GrowBig plan becomes US$6.95 (from US$7.95) and the GoGeek plan comes down from US$14.95 to US$13.95.

Important: Before I tried to close the tab, I entered my first and last name, changed the datacentre to Singapore and unticked the $1/month add-on for domain security.

I chose these guys because Bluehost support was pretty crap - and they have much better uptime - https://www.siteground.com/uptime

  • Its $13.95/mo.for GoGeek, but only for 12 months… cant lock in the 3 year discount and they are a pain to try and get the discount continued after the first contract period is over. Renewals are 10% off for 12 months, 20% for 24 months and 30% of 36 months. You may be able to get the 50% (or 50%-$1) off again via support of course if you say you are leaving without it.

  • +1

Remember to turn hackalert off, which is on by default at $1/month … and to get a free domain, as you still get the free site transfer.

  • I'm seriously impressed with the customer service of these guys. I chose the mid-tier plan and I get priority service - near instant pick-up on chat and tickets replied to within 10 minutes.

They aren't Indian or Philipino - they're based in Bulgaria and have European staff who speak excellent English.

Very happy with my move from Bluehost.
