Cheapest Way to Ship Mag Wheels USA to Australia

I want to buy five mag wheels from the USA. The place selling them will ship free within the USA. But they want an absolute fortune to ship them here.

I know there are places in the US that receive packages and reship them here, but I can't even think what they're called to look them up. But also - anyone that's done this kind of thing before - which one of those do you think would be the best/cheapest to use for this kind of thing?

  • You can use a forwarding service, however given that mags are not exactly small, its going to be a small fortune either way. Can I ask how much they want to charge?

Contact a freight forwarder, get them to LCL ship it over. It will probably cost you around $300-$400.

  • neil: I can't find the old email quote - but it was months ago - and the dollar has fallen even worse now.

Charlie: I believe the wheels are aluminium. (I know for certain they're not magnesium.)

Was going to ask what 'LCL' means - but I just looked it up, LOL.
