I would put "+ Aeroccino3 Frother + 16 pods" in the title, because without it this does not look like much of a deal. With it, pretty good.

pod expiry is ok for a few more months, I asked the guy and they said cause its sealed it should be fine
however 16 should be gone pretty quick

    • +1

Seconded, I've had pods a few months after expiry - didn't notice a difference.

It's not that they go bad, the flavour just slowly deteriorates.

      • +2

i actually had the limited edition cherry ripe about 2 weeks after expiry. i had the runs 2 times. through the rest out. bad experience lol.

Sound like a good deal OP,
but need a little help here to decide if to buy,
can any brand of pod be used in these type of machines?
anyone worked out if it is more economical then a Saeco Exprella machine (that we have but uses up to much bench space)
this seams a better option for 2 people
    any thoughts welcome, Thanks

Not all pods work with Nespresso Machines, only a handful such as Podista and Piazza D’Oro.

Check out this article by Choice, it may help you decide on choosing the right machine.
      https://www.choice.com.au/food-and-drink/drinks/tea-and-coff…

Well, not all pods work with EVERY coffee machine on the market to be fair. For Nespresso, there are a lot of compatible pods such as Coles, Woolworths, LOR, Podista, Vittoria, and few others I can't be bothered to remember. There are actually more third party pods for Nespresso than any other brand.

    • You can use any nespresso compatible brand pods such as Coles, Woolworths, LOR, and many others.

      • +9

I'm going to keep cheering on the new Coles brand pods that debuted last month.

No individual bags - take up less room and you can use pod holders.
        Aluminium sealed, not plastic.
Pour as fast as Nespresso brand pods.

Also happen to be the cheapest around at $3.70 for 10 - standard price.

        • +2

yep its the best & cheapest compatible pods I've used. For 37c a pop, you can afford to have double shots every times :)

        • I wasn't aware of this, will give it a go.

          My current favorite is this:
          http://www.republicaorganic.com.au/collections/coffee-capsul…

Biodegradable capsules, if that sort of thing matters to you.

        • I too had no idea! Cheers KentT. I've gotta say that although I'd prefer to support an independent some of the Coles branded stuff they've released over the last year or two is very VERY decent indeed. Their Tim Tam & Mint Slice rip-offs are different but just as enjoyable as too their Rosemary Crackers, yum! I also really like their range of Softdrinks and now I've heard about their coffee pods I'll definitely be giving them a go. Most of their products are usually around half the price of the original branded products but are either on par or excel the quality plus a lot of it is Aussie made to boot! I'm now just waiting for the day they push the original products off their shelves and then gradually increase the price of their own stuff :( Still I suppose that's their prerogative.

        • Hey KenT, just bought one of these for the wife's birthday on Monday. Checked the Coles website but can't find the $3.70 capsules you mention. I know they're Coles branded but what are they called or what do they look like? Cheers

          @abuxto2:
          http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/coles-coffee-capsul…

          That's them.

They are a new product, so they might not be available everywhere yet.

        • @KentT: Awesome, thanks!

  • Thank you yd and mcp2kpro
    good helpful link
    edit:
just read the choice one, found it very interesting, thanks again

  • how long is the warranty on these machines? I bought one a few years ago and broke recently

  • how is this vs the caffitaly machine?

    • The Caffitaly is a very good machine, especially if bought on sale ~$50. The range of pods is fantastic too, so that is another big plus for the Caffitaly.

At the end of the day it will come down to whether you really think the Nespresso pods are better tasting.

      • thanks

  • First 16 Pods are always included I think when buying a machine.

  • Can this thing pump out just hot water?

    • +3

Yes, you can press the button with no pod loaded and get hot water.

I wouldn't advise using it in lieu of a kettle though, as you'll probably end up with coffee flavoured tea etc.

  • purchased. was in the market for a pod coffee machine and this is a bargain.

  • +1

Wait for them to post on ebay :P
Use last months $100 coupon, making it phreeee :D (when they list it)

    • Do we know if buying on ebay qualifies for the cashback promotion?

      • Yes it does

  • +3

    Just a thought:

    1) Price Match @ David Jones
    2) Pay with discounted gift cards bought through Entertainment Book (so the $149 gift card you buy cost you $134.10)
    3) Get $50 cashback by redemption

Net result, $84.10 coffee maker :)

    • sale might be over before you receive your gift cards tho

      • +1

oh wait scratch that i just noticed they are egiftcards on EB. thanks for the idea!

  • This is so annoying…I was literally looking for a pod machine and although I really liked this Innisia for its size (I was gonna go for the red colour), I couldn't justify the $150+ cost, so I ended up buying one from woolies on special ($59) just today.

In addition, all the research I did showed that I couldn't use any of the cheaper supermarket pods (I'm pretty happy with the woolies Caffitali that only cost 37c) and I didn't want to spend close to $1 for Nespresso pods.

Advise please? Should I return my woolies machine (still unopened in box) and get the Innisia? I'd probably have to spend an extra $20-30 for a frother, so the difference will only be ~$10. But what about the pods?

    • nespresso what else

    • +1

Here is my TLDR attempt to answer your query: I have had one CaffItaly and two Nespresso machines.

I ultimately gave the CaffItaly away because I just never liked the taste of the coffee. There are many, many compatible brands for CaffItaly to try (including Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf from the US if you go there) - and I tried every one I could find - but I didn't like ANY of them. It is subjective - I really wanted to like it but I couldn't make a coffee that tasted anywhere near as good as the morning cappuccino I get from my local cafe.

So I got another Nespresso (I have both one with the standalone frother similar to this deal, and another more expensive one (Latissima Plus) with the built-in/attached frother (which BTW makes luke-warm drinks if you use cold milk, so the separate frother is both better and cheaper except for the need to clean after every use).

The problem with Nespresso is the pods have less coffee (I think CaffItaly is 8g, Nespresso 5g). So I always make double shots - using compatibles it ends up being the same cost as a single shot of Nespresso brand. A colleague at my workplace also gave her CaffItaly away because she didn't like the taste. That said, the friend I gave it to loves it and uses it often. It isn't logical that so many brands of pods didn't taste good to me, but that was my personal experience. YMMV.

      • Thanks for the detailed response! I think I'll be returning my Caffitaly machine…

        • return it if you can.
Coles have nespresso compatible pods and they taste pretty good.
they have just redesigned the capsule so I guess it fits better (exact same shape as the genuine ones) and are sealed so fressher coffe. they are also roasted and made in Australia. $3.70 for 10.

Been using Coles ones for ages now, seem better than any other brand I buy at the supermarket no matter what price. Had nespresso brand ones a lot before but I dont think they are worth double the price.

        • Thanks! Just bought the Inissia :-)
$143-$50 cash back=$93 WOW and this includes a proper frother!!!
          Thanks all!!!

    • Caffitali pods are crap…..Nespresso is not far off a cafe coffee.

  • It says $143 plus $10 delivery for me ($50 cashback = $103) .

    • Yes showing up as $143 for me too. Also says price expires November 5th?

      Also 143 - 50 = 93

    • +1

Looks like they updated their price and deal expiry. I'll update the posting now.

  • Im trying to use paypal express checkout but i keep getting this error…

Unfortunately, we are unable to process orders for PayPal accounts with addresses outside of this country. If you'd like to proceed with this order, please try using a different address or choose another payment method.

  • Would click and collect from their ebay store, get Cashrewards 2.5% and still be eligible for cashback using the proof of purchase received when collecing in store?

Nespresso Cashback Ts & Cs say:
Retailers participating in this Offer are retailers who sell Participating Products and operate from shop fronts in Australia (including both the shop front and any online store operated by such retailers or their subsidiaries) (“Participating Retailer”). A Participating Retailer does not include:

    • a retailer which only operates online stores with no shop fronts;
    • The Nespresso Club (whether online at www.nespresso.com or via phone 1800623 033); or
    • Nespresso Boutiques.

The last time I bought from TGG off eBay, I recieved a normal TGG receipt when I picked up in store.
I would assume they are still doing the same thing now?

    • Thanks just picked one up - not overly fond of the colour, but pretty decent price.

Already have a BES900 dual boiler though, so the nespresso is more for quick shots.

  • Excellent deal. I bought a Blue one a while back for $99 after cash back. It is absolutely worth it.

  • If only it was not yellow.

  • combo it with the $100 ebay voucher from the click & collect promo recently, so once the cashback is done, technically $7 better off.

    • How can you forget cashrewards for another $3.5 ?

      • haha was about to edit my post about cashrewards, but you beat me to it. So its $10.5 better off. Also have to thank OP for this because was wondering what to use the voucher for.

  • how much does it end up costing per capsule?

    • the ones I buy are 37 cents.

      • where from?

        • coles. they are pretty good too.
roasted and packed in Australia. And Fair Trade if that means anything as well.

  • Purchased. Thanks. 😀 From memory our preferred Nespresso pods are $0.73 ea. I find the online ordering annoying and you need to add freight most of the time. But I do like the flavour.

Edit - claim process was pretty simple as well. Made easier by Good Guys emailing my receipt.

  • Does anyone else have the Paypal purchase error as well ?!

    • Yep I had issues.

  • Can we just rock up to the store with our order number, or do we have to wait for some kind of "order ready" email? I'm not sure if the PayPal issues I had will cause more problems.

    • They sent out the "order ready" email pretty quickly. I've received mine in less than 12 hours, hopefully you have now!

      • Thanks yep got the order ready email just now.

        • Did you get any email before 'order ready' email? i receive no email at all after checkout and in the goodguys website under my account tab it says'no order history. anyone experience the same thing?

        • @vandwi:
Yes I got "order received" email right away, then "order ready" email 12+ he's later.

        • @stumo:

thanks, i got the order received like 12 hours later.

  • +2

Don't forgot join the Nespresso club and they offer a welcome pack which you can spend $99 to get 150 Capsules and a free gift.
Also if the 16 capsules are expired, you can call nespresso customer service they will be happy to send fresh to you.

  • Price seems to have gone back up to $149 on their main store and on ebay…

    • +1

Don't worry, it is part of the 'after dark sale' and the price should drop again tonight from 7pm onwards.

  • +1

Thanks for the great deal. Picking mine up today.

  • Can anyone compare the quality of this compared to the Espressotoria Capino machine? (approx. $50 with 72 pods here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/218269)

  • Out of stock on TGG eBay store.

    Hopefully they update tomorrow.

    • its back in stock

      • Now it is back out of stock

  • Hopefully the ebay store will update there stock as I want to use my $50 voucher and they seem to have plenty in stock in there stores.

    • back in stock

  • Thanks, bought one from TGG Ebay, $149-$100 paid $49 and claim $50 cash Back
