Assume that crossing unbroken double lines to enter a driveway is legal. See https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/217980
For those who wish to argue this point please argue in the other post. This post is not about that.
This post is to discuss whether you can use this rule to cross the unbroken double lines into a driveway (legal), but then reverse out of the driveway to head in the opposite direction. Effectively doing a 3 point turn.
If you think it is not legal, what happens if the driver turns into the driveway, but then changes his/her mind and actually wants to leave the place instead?
If you think it is not legal, would your mind be changed if upon entering the driveway, the driver turns off the car engine, leaves the car and comes back. Would this still count as a "3 point turn"?
BTW this trick is very useful in doing 3 point turns almost anywhere!
please call RTA or a driving instructor
I dunno why people are posting for legal advice (annual leave, siuck leave post) etc on a bargain forum, yes we are all arm chair experts, and can provide legal advice!
I reckon its illegal, prolly be arrested on the post and thrown in jail, its worse than murder!
