Hi, We are tired of looking at target/Kmart/Big W for crappy Xmas trees, Does anyone have a good quality or know someone who sales them at reasonable price, I have friends in china who sell to Europe who can get me a good deal but i would to see something first and pay the premium for the privilege, happy with second hand and willing to pay $200 + AUD for the chance… any Ozbargains out there wanting to get rid of tree tag me back… Cheers

I dont mind spending the money, but i just dont want to pay $200 for crap or $400 for not good enough…. I have have been to the china fair a few times and i know what the cost is, tempted to bring a 40ft high cube to Sydney and sell a 1 day sale in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for half the price and twice the value… I would make killing I would only target the 7ft to 12 ft market but instead of 1200 i could do 500 for the same article
Just to clarify - are you saying you want to import some high quality 7ft-12ft Xmas tree that sell around $500 instead of retail price of around $1200, so to make a "killing".
And you want to buy a brand new/second hand good quality Xmas tree (if ozb has one, pm you) for $200+ as a sample.
No, just been to the trade shows and seen the trees and what their FOB costs are…. then i look and see how much they cost here… It just seems like the mark up is huge… even though i understand they are a seasonal item, that if you don't sell them in the critical holiday period then you have a lot of money tied up in capital and 12 month till you next shot; it just seems that the bottom end sub $120 retail is flooded with Crap then you don't see anything good till you hit the plus 500 mark…
If you do not urgently need one, try David Jones/Myers post Xmas and keep it for next year.

go to a proper homeware store like Nest, Adairs or some of the more run-down chinese owned ones… should be a lot more variety
