Free Plex App for New Apple TV

Just got an email from Plex… their app is now available on the new Apple TV and it's free.

The wait is over…
We’ve always thought that Apple TV would be a perfect place for Plex, so imagine our excitement when Apple announced that we could finally make that dream a reality. We worked 'round the clock on our official app from the moment of the announcement, and we’re excited to say that it’s out and it looks amazing.       i cant wait for the old one to be 29 bucks or so.
      ill buy 2 for the house and sell my ps3 which plays netflix now.
      and save on power bills.

        i bought a used one and dropped the remote only once when i stood up and fell on wood floor and now it only sort of works when you press the buttons worked perfectl before the drop.

          You can teach the old Apple TV to use another IR remote (say, the remote of a broken old DVD player, or something like that) in the Settings

      Good question…. It requires log on to your Plex Account. You don't need PlexPass for this, but I guess there's nothing stopping them from charging in the future - even if you have the app already installed.

    Downloaded it this morning - it looks a good start (especially given limited development time) and at least as good as running Plex on an Apple TV 2/3.

    If you're in the market for the new Apple TV, JB Hi-Fi is selling it for $1 less than RRP - the haters are hating it.

    Picked up an atv4 32gb today for $253 Plex is up and running. Its great not having fire up the HTPC.
