Anyone Else Go to The Eatery on 300 Queen St, Brisbane?

It's got to be the cheapest place to buy ready made lunch in Brisbane city. Thought that budget conscious ozbargainers in Brisbane might find this info useful.

There's a long carvery that sells the most delicious Vietnamese pork rolls I've ever had. They're filling, too, and at $6 they sell out daily.

The east xpress often sells $5 rice or salad meals before midday. $6 after midday. Mostly asian fusion meals.

The subway does $5.50 6 inch brekky sub and iced coffee or oj.

Only catch is, most of the places there only open for lunch from Monday to Friday. Closed at other times.

Anyone know any other places in Brisbane to grab cheap lunch?

    Those pork rolls are the bomb! I'm up on George st but will often walk down for one.

    Yup i go there for the carbonara and honey chicken sometimes, decent pricing for what you get. As for other places for cheap lunch, depends how much you need to fill up on.

    i use to go there occasionally. probably the cheapest thing is from the noodle/asian place - bowl of rice with satay sauce - $3.

        I haven't had it for ages (18 months).

        you can get just a bowl of rice and then ask for satay sauce.

          I'd have to be pretty desperate not to pay the extra $2 for meat and salad
