That's because the bottle is Guinness Stout, whereas the can is Guinness Draught, which is much lighter in alcohol (4.1% vs 6% or so). Totally different style of beer!
However I agree, the cans are far superior :)

The reason i prefer the cans is because of the frothing ball, gives good head ;)
Oh wow, I've never seen the draught in a bottle (at least not here in Aus). The magic of the widget makes the cans superior, indeed!
