It might not have been a ripper deal but it is at least a slightly creased deal, which is still better than the limp Dick Smith deals.

The description sounds like it is a Z5 Premium, i.e. 5.5" screen, 180g weight etc. Otherwise it is a NO deal!
As an existing vodafone customer, I can get this phone outright for $984 delivered with the headset from Vodafone. Or I can go on a 24 month payment plan at $41/month which is more attractive.
I don't see how this is a good deal.
Plus, the ebay discount deal from a few weeks ago was a real bargain. (Yes, its expired now!)

people go mental over $1 off Apple goods but $30 less than Vodafone for the z5 isnt good enough.

If I wanted to buy the phone outright, this is not a bargain price as I mentioned in the my post about the prev ebay deal.
For me, if I dont like the idea of forking out all the dollars upfront, I can sign a 24 month payment plan with Vodafone anytime.
Either way, this deal here doesnt sound like a bargain to me.
