      Just use common sense. There may be a risk that someone will try to cheat you but 99.9% of the time the people who contact you are genuine.

      There are some things that you should consider about selling flights though:

      • how much are the name change fees and who will pay for them?
      • can the dates be changed and for how much?
      • considering all the change fees, and considering you can fly there on Jetstar for $500 return, can you really find someone to buy them?

    My twins are too young to fly such a long trip, I bought them out of excitement silly thing really travel insurance won't cover us and the fares are non refundable, I wasn't sure if there was a special place to sell tickets like there is a special place to sell unwanted gift cards ?

      If they are with Jetstar then there'll be name change fee which you'll have to factor in assuming they are transferable.

      Why do you think the twins can't go ? They should be ok.

  Last year sold 2 tickets to HNL on Gumtree, had to pay some fees.
