It's worth mentioning here that due to fierce competition here in Europe, French wines are often (if not, more likely) to be scored more harshly than their Aussie counterparts. I'm not making excuses here, just making you aware that the scores aren't necessarily a true indication of the wine's performance, when comparing them alongside their Australian competition.
