If you had $200 to spend on online groceries in one go, what would you spend it on?

Chocolate, but that would be irresponsible. I tend to grab out the catalogues and see what is on special, work out what u can stock up on such as toiletries etc that you would normally have to buy anyway.

  I did this with a bulk shop a while ago; I ended up comparing the price of the items I wanted on special to their home brand equivalents and found I saved an extra $15 or so by dumping the specials and going with home brand.

Non perishables like tin food
Drygoods such as rice, cereal,
Phone credit and recharge vouchers
Frozen food and meat (e.g chicken and pork)
condiments like sauces, curry sauce, cooking oil, spices and salad dressing

Check what is on special so your money goes a bit further. I tend to buy things I know I can keep in storage will end up using all of eventually like toilet paper, laundry powder. If meat is on special you can freeze portions as well.
