This couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I need to design and create a game, using Unity 5, by next week for uni.

    • From start to finish? Jesus.

      • Oh nah, just fundamentals. We've had weekly pracs, but we've been given no guides for reference.

        • Ah, fair enough. I'm looking at a move back into a games design course for next year. How do you find your course so far?

        • I'm just doing one unit in relation to video games as it's part of my major. My degree has nothing to do with creating or analysing video games though. However, it's good fun!

    • It won't let me buy it from Amazon.com, but keeps nagging me to set my default to the AU store…

    • Affiliate links are not allowed for Amazon.

      • We automatically unpublish comments containing affiliate links. For Amazon it's usually the presence of tag query parameter which is not in parent's link.

        • Fair enough, just saw the "ref=mp_s_a_1_15" tag in the link.

        • Thanks scotty - I tried to grab a link without the stupid "ref=" as I've been slammed previously by users thinking I'm getting some kind of kickback but couldn't find a way to get it working.

Nothing untoward here, I just wanted to help those with US Amazon accounts - link obtained from Amazon via Google itself.

  • Thanks! I'll start creating the new flappy bird…

  • Expired? Not showing as free on both AUS and US Amazon.

  • After reviewing the Content and Structure of the book, I would suggest focusing on official Unity Tutorials and the live Unite sessions.
You will learn far more from that than you ever will from this book.
