So every couple of weeks, I go get a haircut from my barber. He keeps telling me about some Gilette Mach razor that is a normal shaving razor, but then when you twist it around, its got a single blade razor. Like the ones barbers use to shape sideburns and to clean shave facial hair (I think they are called cut throat razors). I've been looking everywhere to try and find it, but haven't come up with anything. Does anyone know what he is talking about? Thanks!

Also consider razorworld, http://razorworld.com.au/
Very reasonable price for the razor's and sustainable packaging.Just be warned that the blades get a little bit sharp towards the end of their life rather than blunt (one of the 5 starts feeling sharper and then you replace the blades).
This is the Gilette plan :
http://gillettesubscribe.com/en-AU/subscriptionplansBut their price is PER BLADE so four times as expensive as dollar shave club
The real beauty of dollar shave is that if you don't shave every day like me - you can have your blades delivered every second month too
Haven't heard of it.
But if you want to get bang for your buck, get a Double Edge razor. I have a merkur 34c, 100 blades costs around $15-20. You can get a much better shave using one of these with no irritation.Pretty sure every Gillette blade has this as standard, could be wrong.
It's just a blade on the side of the cartridge so that you can accurately neaten up beards and so on. Works as well as the normal 5 blades (is it still 5 and not something like 10 blades now?) meaning you can qjuickly assess for yourself what a waste 5 blades is lel.
Sounds like it is just a standard double edge razor.
Gillette make them + many others.
not really
"Gilette Mach razor that is a normal shaving razor, but then when you twist it around, its got a single blade razor"found it I think

I actually think it might be this one, if you have a look on the gillete site they have their whole range on there

Real men shave with straight razors.
Check out whippeddog.com I've dealt with and bought from Larry, he is well respected in the international community.
do you need to replace the razor every time like the barbers do? just had a look on shavershop site but couldnt find where to pickup extra razors for the cut throats
one word: Amazon
Traditional straight razors are a single chunk of metal that is shapened meticulously… And then stropped and honed between shaves…
You can get straights with replaceable blades… But it isn't the same thing. Barbers use them because of hygene laws, rather than optimum shaving experience.
Wilkinson sword double edge blades.
You can buy them at supermarkets and pharmacists now, you just need the handle which your barber can point you in the right direction. Dont forget a boar brush and a shaving soap box.How often does everyone shave out of interest? I usually only shave once a week as I don't like being clean shaven and I get irritation.
i shave 2x a week, not whole face just my neck and top of my cheeks. i use to get iritation when i would shave 3x a week until i bought oil for shavershop and trishave shaving cream from coles and use them together. works a treat
DollarShave Club $10 per month - 4 new blades each month as good or better than the Gilette.
The Executive comes with a 5 blade razor and the blade trimmer on the back.
