Every time I peel a banana the peel ends up in 3 segments yet every time I see a peeled banana in a movie or on a cartoon the peel is in 4 segments. How many segments does your peeled banana have?

I use my thumbnail to make a cut and it gets rid the yukky black bit at the end of my banana. Also, when you see carton banana skins, it always had that stem at the end.
