Powerline Adaptor

I also have a Netcomm power line setup that came with the Fetch TV box from Optus Cable. Call Fetch TV to ask for a price for power line adapters, I would expect the price to be very competitive.
Ring up Optus and ask if you really have to buy it separately, ask if it's included or not.
That's what I did and they threw it in for free.
It's not fresh in my mind what's the best way to convince them, but check up on Optus deals from around early this year.
I remember there were lots of useful tips for bartering. (I ended up with the Speedpack [100mbps, usually costs $30/m], the power adapter, and $50 voucher for free. In addition to my plan dropping from $115 to $90 and getting Fetch TV with the entertainment pack)
If you've been with Optus for a while you should remind them you're a loyal customer, for one.I tried asking for the Optus supplied adaptor back when I recontracted with them for the $90 entertainment bundle, but they all said I needed to pay a one of fee of $40. Won't be much use now as I've started this contact late last year.
For the power line adaptor, if I have an older type house, around 30 years, will it still work?
Don't worry, go on the Optus online chat (http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/home-broadband, just scroll up and down for a minute or so) and tell them what plan you are on. Tell them your modem is in a different room far away from your Fetch Tv and the signal is very weak and they should be happy to give you a powerline adaptor for free. The powerline adaptor should work for your house.
I have Netcomm that was provided with the Foxtel install, it works perfectly fine and has a 2nd port so the Playstation is connected via it as well.
Speeds are fine for downloading/streaming video for me.
no idea of model or cost but I would think Foxtel would supply the cheapest most basic version and it works fine.
