Where is there Melbourne location can't seem to find it on the site
Look for a second hand one and save $$$
We bought a new lift chair for about $5000 installed for my grandmother
It was only used for about 6 months and then she passed
It then took about 1 year to sell and only got $200 for it :(In case you haven't bought yet

You can arrange for an appointment at an Independent Living Centre and try them out. Won't be cheap but you can try and get expert advice. After finding the one you want, you can ask supplier for free trial or hire at home for a week or two before committing with many of them. We used to have a government subsidized home care package and you can ask for an occupational therapist to recommend and organize all this, not sure how it works now.
