  I think vodafone has cheaper sim data plans vs optus/telstra. however if you're already an optus customer I think you can get bundle discount.

    The pocket wifi modem suggested is perfect for travelling. If you are travelling overseas check the country here for the best local sim card/data deals.

  Depending on the phones they have you can just hotspot off their existing plans.

      Maybe you need to get your kids into offline games. (Yeah, I know, some hope).

      It still might be worth looking into Data packs on the existing plans - Telstra does additional ones from $10 per 1 Gbps and you can set this up so they only kick in if you go over the allocated data level. For best effect tell the kids they have to pay for the Data packs so it might teach them to watch what they are using.
