Please Help Me Find a New Hairdresser - Fitzroy - Melbourne

I am looking for a new hairdresser in Fitzroy. I'm a 50ish female. I'm not looking for Nanna but I don't want odd bits shaved off my head either. I jut want a fairly vanilla pixie cut.

My old hair dresser was fine but the last time I went there it was $130; which, I think, is a tad steep.

If you have suggestions can you please give me the salon name and rough guide to pricing. Funnily enough most of the hairdressers in my area don't have prices up and won't give me a rough guide price over the phone.

    Would you mind saying who was your previous hairdresser, OP? No point recommending the one you've just left…

    Rents have gone up quite a bit in Fitzroy/Collingwood - prices have probably gone up as a result.

        Try Klass Kutters (awful name, but lovely people) - the owner's name is Sam and the salon is on Smith St, opposite Stanley St.

        Not sure how much they charge for just a cut, because my partner always gets his hair coloured as well (and they might do that stupid thing where men pay less). They used to offer a 25% discount on first visit as well, so you should be able to get at least one cheaper haircut!

    You should be able to find a good FAMILY salon, with reasonable prices. As opposed to "Hair Stylists".
    I pay between $25-35 for a trim, just down the road, in Geelong.
    Sometimes, I get a really good "style" cut once a year, for $100 or so.

      Geelong is hardly "just down the road" from Fitzroy.
