  • Probably a pricing error, ordered one, so lets see

  • awesome, ordered one thanks

  • Ordered, thanks.

  • Lets see bought one a swell :D canceled my standard pre order at eb

  • $115? That's expensive for a vita game?

    • Collector's edition.

    • -2

Do you see the word disco fever edition? It's a limited edition bundle.

  • Omg. its $79 dollars USA at best buy, we save a lot here on this deal

  • +1

The skin for slim or fat model?

    • +1

Always assume its for the newest model

    • +2

      2000 model.

  • Cheers, ordered.

    • +1

Don't hate without giving it a chance

    • -3

OK, can someone please explain the appeal of a disco fever dancing game on a portable?

      • +3

A spin off of a highly regarded game that adds on to the great story told, and focuses on the music in a series that has one of the best soundtracks in video games.

Or a simpler version, people like good games.

      • Well, Rhythm Heaven is a handheld game… And that game's great! :D Same with Elite Beat Agents. And both of those games score hugely from all sources.

  • +2

Thought this edition was sold out! Thanks.

    • It was, thats why this is probably an error

      • Sort of weird error for them to update the listing for the standard edition to the limited edition.

        • I hope they honor this deal

    • Good point. It'll most likely get cancelled as they physically cannot honour this deal without any stock.

      • -2

I was like 3th to buy this so hopefully I get to have mine if not ill be upset >.<

        • +1

Well here's hoping everybody receives their orders!

        • +2

"3th"? You have shamed the Kuchiki clan by failing eigo.

        • @Knightelf: I probably wasn't, lol im a real persona 4 fan was not thinking of getting this game cause, i don't know the dancing was putting me off. got it after seeing this deal lol

  • Got one. Thank you so much. Definitely price error

  • +1

I have the standard one which I paid $50 USD for from PA.

I totally suck at it, and any type of rhythm game. But I have to support the devs because I love Persona. If it helps them fund the next real Persona, I'm happy to throw money into the bin.

I really like the graphics and character models. I wish the Persona game on Vita had graphics like this. I would totally play a Persona game with this engine, over a PS3/PS4 version.

  • Any clue what happens if you pay via gift card and they cancel?
Edit Nevermind JB's GC FAQ sections is surprisingly good.
Thanks OP ordered one! I wasn't actually gonna Pre-order this one as P4A and P4AU have been sitting unsold and marked down at my jb so I was gonna wait for that to occur on the normal one this but for the LE sure.

  • +2

Put in an order. See how we go I guess…

  • +10

It always surprises me how many vita owners there are on Ozbargain.
    Vita owners unite!
Also Heads up if you like Visual Novels for vita take a look at the Muv Luv Kickstarter.
According to VNDB it's better than Stein's Gate!

    • +1

pretty sure the reason why so many of us have a vita was due to the good vita deals that popped up on ozb before… that's how i got my vita haha :P

      • I'd have one eventually. Will all the JRPG's on it, it was inevitable.
The JB hifi promo with the 2002 at $200 with your choice of game didn't hurt either. Then I combined that with a $20 off voucher (20% off $100 max voucher from JB hifi music trial) and I got the system for $180 so that was awesome.

        • +1

Ahh yeah, that was the deal which led me to buy mine as well. i regret nothing haha i don't think there was any other deals after that that could top that one.

        • @Encipher:
yeah even now there haven't been any that I remember at $200 or below. What did you end up getting with your vita? I went Freedom Wars. It's good but I haven't finished it as I keep starting new games instead heh.

        • @Scaregdearimasu:

ended up picking the 8gb mem card with some games (think it was the action bundle? can't remember). i regret not picking up freedom wars instead tho :( the 8gb mem card was nowhere near enough after all so i had to pick up another mem card again after

      • +1

Yeah PSV is awesome and I love mine. Went crazy buying PSV games when I was in Japan recently. The range is amazing. Can't understand a word of Japanese but you can roughly figure out what is going on. I am surprised it isn't more popular.

    • +1

If it's on KS, is the game finished yet? If not, how can anyone know it's better than Steins;gate?

      • +1

It's a kickstarter to bring it officially to the west. It's available in Japan, and english fansubs exist.

        • Well Fansubs exist for the PC versions 1,2,3 I assume theres also some fandiscs and such too. It was also made for PS3 and 360 so it seems to be a pretty big title.

        • Looks like an eroge. You realize that if they do an official translation, it's likely to be censored shit, right? In order to get it on Steam or PSN, they're going to have to cut out all the adult content, making you not want to play it. That or wait for unreliable fan patches. These guys will take their sweet time because they can't be held to any deadlines, and might leave it in a buggy state for years.

If a fansub already exists, I'd just stick to that version.

    • +1

      Hello fellow VN reader :D

  • So after looking around and on their site I think they are having a gaming sale/kinda as the xbox one is 399 dollars maybe its a sale or something, no idea.

  • +1

Ordered one as well. Very nice deal, I was gonna get normal edition from eb on release day but limited edition is waaaaay better at this price. Thanks op.

  • +1

Ordered, hopefully it goes through. I have bought so many games for the Vita that I've yet to play, but I'll be damned if I let this deal go by.

  • I'd buy it if I didn't already have the standard ed (imported US copy). The goodies that come with the CE are not that hot. They look cheaply made if you ask me. Same goes for the Persona Q and P4 Golden CEs.

    It's a good price though.

    • Even if they are bad, this is pretty much standard price for a top level Vita game. I was just in Japan and it was more than AUD$59 (converted) for the standard version.

    • Where did you import your US copy from?

Saw the download is 3.1gb, so I'm looking for a US physical but cheapest I can find (with shipping) for standard is ~$70 AUD from play-asia.

      • Play-asia. I paid $50 USD for it, whatever that converts to.

It is more expensive than the usual Vita game. Not sure why.

  • Ordered as well, thanks OP! Let's see how this goes.

  • +1

    Ordered. Fingers crossed

  • Price Guarantee:
If the price drops before the release date, you will pay the lowest price.

    • +3

The issue is whether they will actually have copies to sell I think…

      • Indeed. I guess optimistically they did went through the effort to rename, add a picture of the disco fever edition(2nd picture) and added the details.

On the other hand the SKU number is the same and the the standard edition is not a choice since this replaces it(which is weird).

Also probably good news, this: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/General/Website-Terms-of-Sale/ on 3.2

JB Hi-Fi reserves the right to change the prices of Goods at any time without notice to you. The price displayed at the time that you place your Order will continue to apply to you even if the price changes before your Order is accepted by JB Hi-Fi.

        • +2

Yeah agreed, super weird someone went to the effort of changing all those things. Also you'd think if it was a price error they would have noticed and fixed it by now. Nearly 24 hours since it was noticed and posted so who knows how long before that it was live.

        • @Scaregdearimasu: I think that t&c clause applies to items that are not priced incorrectly to begin with. And its not necessary they would fix it immediately, as it is the weekend.

    • +1

Sorry JB aren't stupid they have covered themselves read further below :P

JB Hi-Fi reserves the right to cancel, at any time before delivery and for whatever reason, an Order that it has previously accepted. JB Hi-Fi may do this for example, but without limitation, where:
      Goods ordered were subject to an error on the Website, for example, in relation to a description, price or image, which was not discovered prior to the Order being accepted;

But yeah lets hope for the best :P, at least to the people who jumped on it quick.

  • Ordered, thanks!

  • +1

Pre-ordered it, hopefully we can all actually receive this.

  • Nice one.

  • Looks like the price of the normal edition. There's a strong chance this is a mistake and it's going to be cancelled.

  • -3

EBGames selling this for $59.95 so this price must be real https://ebgames.com.au/vita-210087-Persona-4-Dancing-All-Nig…

    • +2

The one in EB games is the Standard Edition. The deal posted by OP is a Collector's Edition which comes with all the fancy shizz. So, still not necessarily real :/

  • Awesome. Probably an error but gave it a go!

  • Out of topic, AU PSN has Virtue's Last Reward for $16 worth it? I couldn't find any physical copy and heard it is a good game on vita and 3ds.

    • very good game. definitely worth it at that price

    • +3

Excellent game. If you can I recommend picking up the previous game in the series Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors for the NDS. If you don't have an NDS you can play it on IOS without the puzzle mechanics as a VN. Also the third in the series (untitled at the moment) will be coming out in the future for vita as well.

    • Yup. Definitely a good game. But best to play the first game as mentioned (999) first if you can.

    • Thanks guys. Anywhere to find DS 999 at a reasonable price? I could only find it for $30 at Ozgameshop.

      • +2

Thats about best price you can get it. The game is worth every dollar.

      • You can also get it on IOS. It won't have the puzzles, but its presentation looks a lot better.

I always felt the puzzles got in the way of the story. The story is one of the most engrossing stories you'll experience in a game, and I felt the puzzles broke the flow. It really kept me on the edge of my seat, but then a puzzle section comes in which kills the mood.

    • Don't buy from the AU store.

The US store has it for $10 USD right now. FLASH SALE, BE QUICK!

Get the US version instead because it has english voice acting (quite good) along with Japanese, whereas the AU only has Japanese. I want to stress that the english voice acting was very good. At least I felt it was.

      • Looks decent. Where would you recommend buying US PSN cards? Amazon?

        • Well first off before you get ahead of yourself here. Are you aware of the pain in the butt switching regions entails?

You'll ethier need a second memory card or you'll need to backup any saves/content you care about to your pc. Then from the recovery menu you'll need to do a full format/wipe (takes about 15 mins?) Then you'll need to make an USA psn account.

After that it's easy just log in to your USA account on vita buy the voucher from amazon add it (dunno if you can do it all through vita as I use the web store on pc) then you can find the game and download if on your vita from the ps store.

USA PSN has a lot of super cheap Flash sales but AU/EU store has more frequent decent sales. If you don't mind switching regions or investing in a second vita it's pretty awesome.

Edit also amazon vouchers is way easier then figuring out the whole credit through paypal option.

        • +1

          @Scaregdearimasu:
Yeah I am. Got 2 VITA memory cards.

Although to be perfectly honest I no longer touch my VITA due to the lack of games I am interested in but this game might get me back on it. Thanks for the info.

        • @Scaregdearimasu: Ah right, I forgot about that memory card issue. I'm 100% US store, so it didn't affect me.

I pay directly via credit card, I don't use PSN cards.

I do think it sucks that there's no english voice acting in the EU/AU version though. And for me it's a deal breaker. It just isn't the same experience. Some will argue it's a better experience, and more power to them. But the US version has both languages.

You can buy the game no problem on your PS3 or via the web site. But apparently you have to do some fiddling to get it to download to your vita.

If you can find a cheap 4GB memory card, it's worth considering.

          Great game.

EDIT: Do you know if you can play cartridges from other regions without a second memory card / factory reset?

        • @ChillBro:

Yeah so with the extra memory card you just make one your USA card and one your AUS card. You'll still have to wipe the console (don't forget to pull your memory card first) but you won't have to back up saves and games first which will save a lot of time.

        • +1

          @lostn:

I prefer physical carts my self so I can answer that. Yep physical imports are no problem on vita. So heres the only issue you'll find with that. If you buy an other region (from your psn account) psychical cart you won't be able to buy DLC. You'll still be able to download patches/updates by tapping the check for updates on the game title card thing though so that's no issue.

So go ahead and import there are a ton of titles in psychical or even possibly some not even on AUS psn for whatever reason you can import. Just remember whatever account you make the save file on will be the only account you can play using that save file. (as they lock save files to your PSN name)

  • Looks like its no longer on the site. Someone wised up it seems

  • Page not found
The page you were after lived a good and happy life, but now it is no longer with us. That's ok though, because we have thousands more that are alive and just as great.

    • +1

I hate when they do that. Why couldn't they just leave the page up with the stock price so I can see what in store pricing would be. :/
They pull these pages down way too quick when theres still so much stock in store.

      • +1

IKR and its fishy too, you cant look at the page to see what you get no more it sucks

        • +2

Oh yeah when you can't actually see what you've ordered is infuriating. Especially when it's something you've ordered on ebay and they delete the seller and all the sellers items and your purchased listings pages disappear and all your left with is the item name. So annoying and bad for the consumer.

Luckily I Screenshot-ed the important bits.
          http://imgur.com/a/cZR71

        • +1

@Scaregdearimasu: Cool thanks, might come in handy if they send us the wrong game, or standed version by mistake.

    • +1

Hmmm, I guess we will soon find out if orders will be honoured. If they don't, no hard feelings. I probably won't be buying the regular version though, so they are going to get $59 or nothing.

      • +1

Agreed, I honestly need to finish 3 FES, P3P maybe, then P4G and P4A and P4AU before I really play this so I'm fine with waiting a while for it to get a lower price probably used on ebay.

        • +1

          Ha! Me too :D

        • +2

You can skip P3 if you only want to play this. You can skip 4A and 4AU also.

Definately play P4G though. That is the highlight of all the games in the series.

      • Agreed as well, I want this version badly I wasn't gonna buy this game till i saw this deal.

  • +6

Just got the email saying it was wrongly advertised. Is anyone keeping their order for the standard edition? I'm definitely not.

    • +1

      Same. Have cancelled.

    • +2

Nah, JB can stick it. The reasoning is bull too. The Disco Fever edition is the name of the Collector's Edition. They're just using semantics to weasel their way out of it.

    • I see no reason to keep my order. Should certainly be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

      • Problem is that vita games can really only be found in JB/EB, and with EB charging RRP JB is our only hope for cheaper prices.

        • Yeah I dont't expect to see it much cheaper than retail price.

        • @Venom_TAG:

Well P4A and P4AU both got pretty good discounts off their RRP. Not sure if P4DAN will follow suite but I'll wait.

        • @Scaregdearimasu: Those games were not vita exclusive games. Most retailers dont even carry vita.

        • @Venom_TAG:
Yeah lack of retailers carrying vita is a huge problem for us aussie vitalizers. A lot of really cool games aren't even seeing release here or at least none that I've seen here. Stein's gate, Corpse party, all of the neptunia series aside from the worst just to mention a few.

JB and EB are being competitive though even on console exclusives. Disgaea 3 and 4 full dlc included versions both got marked down to $29 as well as a bunch of other lesser titles. P4DAN will probably hold it's value for longer but like all things will discount eventually.

There are a few titles though they seem to hold onto and never discount. Im looking at you Pandoras tower for wii ($79) and Ogre Tactics for psp…. :/
