Ebgames at Waverly gardens won't Price match Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Console Why?

I went there today and have my console preordered already, traded in some games for it as well but I asked if they would price match Target as i have proof that it is $558 dollars there where in ebgames its $599 what a rip off. Anyway I asked if they could price match it, the woman there said no because their not allowed to price match limited edition consoles is that true? its the same thing at target and big w! no extra DLCs or anything. Also have heard someone else talked to another ebgames store and will be able to price match on release so why cant I? I don't see how that is fair Ebgames..

I should cancel my order and just go to big w or target as it's way cheaper there it's the same thing so why can't they price match on release???

    It's not a given they will price match, there is an epic list of terms and conditions attached. They will sell the console regardless, so no need to price match. I'd just suck it up and walk across the street to the cheaper store.

        Limited editions, they would be preallocated per store.

    they have the right to refuse to price match. I agree the reason provided is dodgy.
    I would suggest asking EB again when there's a different person, maybe even get in contact with the manager of the branch to get to the bottom of it. (their name should be on any receipt you have)

    Types of eb staff when price matching.

    Ask or tell and proceeds to price match because they already know
    Want to see any proof to price match
    Want to see proof and stock levels to price match
    Refuses to price match at all

    Also some care if the store is closeby or not.

    Some EB Games staff are the biggest **** in the world . I'm not buying from them again after my last experience there. The price matching rules have changed everytime I've bought a game there.

    Some staff are like "No worries done" some want to call the store and check with their manager etc

    I'd call their main customer service number and see if they can help at all… Otherwise I'd just cancel and order from Target or Big W - just make sure they actually have stock.

    They don't price match console bundles.

    If you buy the console from EB they will give a disc version of Halo 5 for free. Not sure if they take the download code.

      Physical disk comes with the Collector's Edition

      The Console already has the game pre-loaded on the HDD but won't be unlocked for access till the 27th.
      Console is being released on October 20th though but I wouldn't be surprised if street date is broken ;)

        Its not pre loaded. They give you a code for the game, pretty sure as it says everywhere, on youtube they have a video about it

    EB are adding Fallout 4 to the Halo console bundle as a preorder bonus. Don't cancel if you are planning on getting that game too.

    Ok, so i pre-ordered the Forza 6 console and when i did, it did not mention it was bundled with Mad Max. So the day i picked it up i basically got Mad Max for free since i never knew it came with it. But here's the thing, JBHIFI released a better deal the day the console came out so even though you get a bonus game at EB, it might still be worth buying on release day.

    PS. I sold Mad Max for $60+ on Ebay since i wasn't interested in the game and it had good sell value.

    I just traded my 500GB xbox one for the limited edition forza 6 console and asked them to price match it with JB HIFI ($549) which they did. EB's bundle was $599 which also had Fallout 4 download code added but i didnt want it so they were happy just to price match it at $549 and give me the limited edition console on its own.
