Advertising free web design

Hey OzB,

I'm looking to offer free up to date/responsive web design to a small number of small - medium businesses around Australia and possibly Internationally however I have no idea how I should go about advertising this service.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would like to get a solid portfolio up and running.

    Shouldn't be hard to get word of mouth going if it's good and free :)

    Are you looking to be proficient in a particular CMS/eCommerce software?

    Hi LLS, so to confirm you're looking to work for free, to build up a portfolio?
    What is your current skillset and do you have any past experience at all (eg building your own site at least)?

    If you have some skills (eg HTML / CSS / Wordpress / graphics design), you may be able to approach some charities & not-for-profits who are always looking for additional help. Alternatively, feel free to PM me as I may have some work.

    If you're looking for local clients, hang around on Airtasker and bid $5 (the minimum allowed) for a website task that takes your fancy.
