Australian Apple App Store prices will increase in the next 36 hours

I have just received an email from Apple (I am a developer) that they are going to increase prices in the Australian App Store due to the exchange rate.

Example:
Right now an app that sells for 0.99 USD in the US is selling for 1.29 AUD in Australia. With the new prices, it will be 1.49 AUD. Which makes sense with the current exchange rate: 0.99 / 0.74 + 10% GST = ~1.47 AUD.

The change will take effect within the next 36 hours so if you wanted to buy something, it might be a good idea to do that now.

    Thanks for the heads up. You might want to include the word Apple in the title to avoid the Android people getting huffy.

    Great info OP. Any essential app to buy for max $30? I know only Trip View is well worth the full version as I live in Sydney. I can't think of anything else.
