Best prepaid plan - mostly data, some calls/SMS

I'm looking for the best deal on a prepaid plan and I was hoping someone could help me. I barely use phone calls or sms. However I do use a lot of data.

I'm currently using Optus prepaid social which gives me a whole lot of things that I never use for $30 dollars.

The good thing about this plan is that I can recharge 5 dollars and get 500mb even after the 30 dollars expired. However whenever I need to make a single call or send a single sms I then need to recharge 30 dollars.

Does anyone know any cheaper option? Thank you :D

      I have an iPhone and I use iMessage a lot. I also have a Nokia (ozbargain phone) but I wouldn't like to carry 2 phones.

    How much data do you need?

    I don't call / SMS much either and use 0.5-1GB each month. I use Amaysim's PAYG + 10GB data pack with 365 days expiry.

    I'm learning from other folks there is a mini-plan going where if your friend transfer your T-pre paid mob *10.00 via 1258888 (u reimburse them the tenner) u may be returned 1 biweekly plan..I heard a rumor!

    Not bad plan for the kinda variable usage.

        I need to sort out something with my data as I lost my job and Optus are charging me heaps for data. I need to start buying some cheap sims etc. I'm going to study this method and try to work out how you guys are doing it….
