Just check out with an AMEX card and it shows the discount:

You can checkout in USD and be charged the foreign exchange fee with your card holder or just pay by AUD on Amazon (~AU $193)

I can't find it advertised anywhere though. Seems significantly cheaper than anywhere in Aus and even more so if you are in the market for >1.
Haven't tried but also likely it applies to other sizes or more items!

  Beware that warranty on WD drives that are out of region, have to go back to the region they were from. In the case of Seagate it doesn't matter which region they are sent for warranty in.

    That's a good point extra ~$35 a drive locally though, damn, now I'm undecided.

    Amazon are usually pretty good at warranties. I've purchased numerous computer parts from Amazon and every time I've had an issue (after months of use, not DOA), I just send them an email explaining the situation or jump on the live chat and they resolve the problem pretty quickly.

    In all the situations I have encountered, they have either offered to pay for return postage fees to Amazon, and/or sending out a replacement item. Amazon has great customer service in my opinion.

  How do you qualify your AMEX card for the discount? I have 2 x 4TB Hard drives and I am getting the following
