Digital Tuner with MPEG-4 to get Channel 78 to work

I've got an old digital TV and it can't seem to get Channel 78 (Horse Racing Channel)

This article http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/computers/gadgets-on-the-… says i need an MPEG-4 enabled TV which i suppose mine probably isn't.

Can anyone recommended a well priced tuner or whatever i need to get this channel to work?

I saw something on ebay and it says:

Video Playback - MPEG-2, AVC/H.264, MPEG4
Does this mean it will work?

Thanks

  • The sure way is getting a new TV, specially they are quite cheap nowadays :)

  • not MUCH help but dont forget during spring racing .. syd and melb races are also on 7TWO (as they were this saturday)

kind of agree with Marcsie getting a whole new set top box for one channel is up 2u.. but its only real benefit will be this one channel as its not needed for any others..

other thing to consider if u get a TAB account (which is free) it will give you access to sky1, sky2 and sky premium channel all for free to watch on ur PC or mobile device.

if you do want to go ahead and get would id go into one of the retailers, jb, HN good guys etc… tell them it must work with channel 78 and if it does not you will be bringing it back for return to be sure/safe

and just to add.. like the comments section of that website says.. the quality of this channel on a good TV is rather sh*te..

the quality is much better on sky channel. both TV and/or streaming over the PC.

hopefully the good carnival days coming up will be on 7MATE so you should be able to watch in HD???

    • so get a chromecast and stream to your TV?
