I have got General Admission x 4 free tickets from the past deal for :
Concert Hall
The Walking Dead: Season 6 Premiere, FREE SCREENING
11 Oct 2015 - 11:30am
Never been to concert hall. What should we expect there?
Can we get opportunity to see the opera house from inside?
I think the Walking Dead thing is general admission, so I would expect a queue for the good seats, since the concert hall is huge.
They make people check backpacks - free but there is a queue. You can get away with most handbags. The seats are wide enough but not much leg room, so no room for bags.
No hot drinks or glass in the concert hall - Wine at the bars is served in plastic glasses and ok to go in. They are on the look out for coffee and will make you chuck it :(
I went to the Graphic Festival a few years ago, and everything was really opened up. They checked admission at the entry to each theatre. But the open spaces were full of stalls selling comic books etc. Encouraged you to wander around. Not backstage or anything though. There is an open day soon if you enjoy it enough to want to see that - http://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/occasion/open_day.aspx
If you haven't been there before, I recommend walking to the bar behind the concert hall for the view

Most of the food at the restaurants is expensive. The cheapest filling thing I have found is the beef pie and chips at Opera Kitchen - $10.
I am going again this weekend also. Looking forward to it, but sounds like it will be crowded - seems like they have a lot of stunt things planned - https://www.mediaweek.com.au/graphic-festival-set-to-embrace…
