I've already downloaded and played the beta on my PC but am yet to find a way to download it on my PS4.
I searched for it and nothing but the full game to pre order comes up.
The beta has been open now for over an hour and still nothing.

The official kick off time is 10:00AM PST on October 8, according to Battlefront community manager Mathew Everett.
So another 7.5hrs to go
It's already out on PC i just played it. i downloaded it yesterday. i thought the beta was opening at the same time for consoles and pc?
Just saw a comment on that link above that as of 12mins ago Xbox had it up. So I guess that's the official countdown (10am PST), any earlier is a bonus
@Spackbace:I dont think so as the Origin website and pc app has a countdown which lead to 7PM OUR time.
very unorganized i think.
@Spackbace: It's downloading now thanks.
Thanks, wasn't aware of it, downloading now :)
Cheers for letting me know on this, currently downloading (very, very slowly)
same here it was saying 7 hours then i changed the dns to my getflix dns and now it's got 100minutes left.
Interesting….i'm using the Perth Getflix DNS and still slow, might try changing servers
Had to switch to my AU account but it's downloading…
Thoughts of the game? After playing few hours I feel a bit disappointed :(, not as good as I was expecting …
It seems fun but not so fun that I'm buying it on launch day for $80 fun.
I've yet to play it on my ps4 but pc should be better so not getting hopes up.
Its fun but very plain/repetitive (yeah not buying it on launch day anymore >.<)..It just seem like a space-battlefield…
Star Wars Battlefront (1 and 2, the new naming scheme sucks) felt entirely different to Battlefield even though it was obviously inspired by it. It had all these places, people, and vehicles from the movies, and they all handled believably and decently. Decent enough for it to really feel like a pretty immersive Star Wars experience. You could even play as iconic star wars monsters and face off against the soldiers!
Battlefront EA is, unfortunately, as you said, just battlefield. You can play a man with a gun, shooting at another man with a gun. The guns feel and handle more similar to CoD than to a science fiction blaster. The vehicles are momentary powerups rather than a tool to achieve victory. They have kept a fragment of the content, and the entire focus of matches has shifted. EA has done their usual scheme of cutting content and increasing the price. Whoever said "The AT-AT should not be drivable" deserves to be shot.
With the Death Star.
