Jeez, how high do you jack your car up?

I use the oil drain pan lol

I've got ramps to drive up.

I didn't even think of the fact that an oil pan is flat…

        • I thought you were supposed to change your oil in a level surface to make sure it all comes out?

I've just cut the front out of one of my previous 5l oil containers. Works a treat and saves me…. $2.

I don't use a bucket, its too high. But for years I would just cut out the side one of the larger (6L) oil containers from a previous oil change and use that (with the cap on of course…)

Now I have plastic tray, which is larger and lower, that I managed to score as a freebee and use that.

So no-one just parks over a storm drain? Me neither…

        broden would

      • I had a mate and we used to do that back in the day, but we did use a container it was just so we didn't have to Jack the car (didn't have a hydraulic one)

    • i do. but one of sca's older types that are shallower/wider than this 8l one.

on one of my cars, i don't even have to jack it up…just slide the pan under, undo the sump bolt and slurp away ;)

      • i do the same on my parents honda jazz. Its a tight fit, but as its a short front end you can fairly easily get a spanner under to the sump plug and i've done it a bunch of times.

I have a 4wd so I just drive onto the sand at the beach and do it there…..use a penguin to wipe up any mess on hands or car.
But then again I work for BP…so its sort of acceptable company policy.

    • Ahahahahaha this made me lol while knee driving on the m4!

    • seagulls are better as rags :p

  • The globes are a good price.

  • Welly-Die-Cast-Model-1:16-Pullback models are actually 1:60 scale models, hmmmm so more for truth in advertising!

  • Sadley I missed out on these torches when a sale was a 1$ . http://m.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Ridge-Ryder-Dual-Torc…

I went to the only store on my side of town that did not stock these torches. Then the other stores were sold out of stock. Said to be 100s in a morning
