    Can a man-child register?

    • +1

There no age limit are mentioned.

    • Yes you can

recommended for 4 years and under based on the last time I took my 4 year old. Took all of 1 minute and 30 secs to make. Ploy to get people through the doors IMHO

    • +4

      WHo'd a thunk it hey?

    • of course its to get customers in. It is still a free toy and fun for the kids though.

  • Don't bother, it's just a cheap ploy to get you in the store. I registered my kids, went there and the lady at the desk said pick up the pieces and make it. We got like only 10 pieces of Lego. Ridiculous.

    • +1

I count 14 pieces for this promo.

      • +1

I think you missed the chair and the paddle.

        • Yeah, I might have. It'd be 16 pieces of those were included 2, 17 pieces if there's a 4x2 plate joining the two white pieces on the bottom (below the chair).

    • They usually want you to book, when it's so fast it might as well be an express click and collect. We did the girly picture frame one at Myer.

    recommended age 6+.

My boy is 2+. Can I still register?

    • +1

      Yes

    • +1

My boy is also 2+, and I registered him. He can just play with the pieces for a few minutes and we'll collect them up and leave. In Feb there was a duplo event which was great for his age.

  • Thanks, my boys had fun at the last Ninjago one, will get the missus to register them again.

make good desk ornaments, I still have my mini moro dragon kicking around on my desk, the 2 kids managed to lose all the part from theirs within a week.

  • I have to say this is a waste of time. I took my 4 year old son to a string of these about 6 months ago and the items made are literally 10 pieces of 1x1 lego clipped together. All are junk - not worth the petrol to drive to the store.

Not wanting to rant, but the build your own table wasn't even in the lego section, there was no coupon or incentive to encourage you to buy the lego and the 14 year old staff don't really have a clue - all up - waste of time.

If you participate in these you will receive an item which is WORSE than a single minifig or police motor bike.

Think 10 bits of 2mm plastic nothing clipped together to make a dragonfly - not even useful as spare parts to other sets.

Did you have to pay anything for it?

Ive been to a few, and its not about me, my kids love it, they get posters here and there, colouring in and lego, sure they arent huge buildings however they are fun for the kids.

    • The black ninjago dragon was a nice toy.

I get negs for sharing my genuine experience and opinions which were given to hopefully help others. Tough crowd.

      • +1

        I didnt neg you though.

      • no opinion on your post but i + for you :)

Think people might have unrealistic expectations for a freebie :v

What you see is what you get.

  • Thanks, Ive been to a few of these with the kids, and they love it.

    There's a session for 3:30pm to 4:00pm.

  • Thanks! Registered my daughter.

She loves Lego and always enjoys these events. I am a VIP Member, but did not get the email for this event though.

    • +1

I got the invite email few hours after I had registered. OZB news is faster then the email. :D

      • Just got my email

I have spent so much on Lego this past week. Bought my daughter 5 Lego sets from Target in conjunction with the bay 15% off deal (coupled with Target's sale on Lego). She prefers the boys Lego kits and is really into Ninjago at the moment. Her Friends and Frozen Lego sets remain unopened.

  • Registered one too, my son would probably appreciate it but has been mostly on Duplo though.

    • Rock up at TTP SA, meh, there wasn't a single soul or happy kids faces around. When I rocked up, the ToyRUs guy doesn't sound to keen, went through the instructions on the table and when his done, just threw his marker on the table and left in a jiffy… talk about customer service…

  • Miranda and Moore park - no slot available

  • Just a little confused here. Does anyone know how many people you can bring to a session? It says on the registration page that you can bring 4 participants? Does that mean you can bring back 4x mini Lego City kayaks if you register four participants under one account or just one kayak? Thanks guys!

    • +1

You get to take 1 kayak per person you have registered, so up to 4 kayaks.

      • thanks mate! great news.
