    I hate boost 'promos'.

    • Same.

    • You have to remember you're probably not their prime demographic that they are advertising to anyway.

      • Then why post it on OzBargain?

        • +1

Because there are people, like the 8 that upvoted this deal, that this is a good bargain for.

Using your logic, we shouldn't post a say 30% off sale that Rolex may be having on their watches. Obviously a cheap $20 quartz movement watch is enough for OzBargainers. Or if very nice cheap suits were on sale, $10 jeans and a t shirt to a wedding will suffice no?

Let the community do the voting with positive and negative votes. People post things that are for different demographics than just you or I. If we using the majority as for what should be posted or not, we would not have any content for females, or for the generation still studying.

    • I hate Boost altogether.

      • Boost Mobile is pretty good. Different company I know

After seeing the stuck up arrogant bimbo owner on Shark Tank, I can't stand Boost either.

I imagine their head office being full of Lorna Jane wearing idiots, patting each other on the back for 'discovering' a new fruit combination to throw into a blender.

Too much effort for a free drink on weekday…

It's hard enough for me to go to a costume con let alone for a free boost… bugger off!

I wonder if it is legal to appropriate Nintendo's intellectual properties for advertising purposes.

    • +4

I'm guessing they deliberately didn't put the "L" the correct way in Luigi's hat to try avoid that to an extent

      • +1

        Luigi's hat

That's not Luigi, it's his cousin Joey.

  • Lol

  • +5

I think plumbers should be considered as "Mario" / "Luigi" as well

    • +1

I think princesses should be considered Princess Peach too!

  • +9

Hired mario outfit for $32, so i can score this free boost to save $4.50. Net profit from this bargain will be an amazing -$27.50 :)

  • Any bargains on gold crowns?

Anticipated redemption rate of zero or is this just Spam in disguise?

Wonder if the cops will get me for cross-dressing if I go as Princess Peach.

If you have kids this would be easy and would save you face but can be done for free!

Step 1: Shave off some of your hair to use as moustache
Step 2: Get Grandpas (Or Grandmas) overalls
Step 3: Soak random white shirt/hat in red/green cordial and let the artificial colours turn shirt specific colour.

    Step ?: Profit

Cops get you for cross-dressing? You do know we don't live in Iran right?

      • -3

If I'm walking around scaring children they may :P

        • Well the cops will get you because you're harassing children, not because you are cross dressing. Not everyone who cross dresses harasses children you know.

        • @The Land of Smeg:

Don't need to be harassing children directly to scare them. A big bearded guy dressed as their favourite character would scare anyone.

I'm surprised people are taking my post about that seriously.

        • +1

@JayM: It's just the connotation that you make that cross dressing is some kind of crime that the Police could stop you for, and then you dig a hole even deeper to further suggest that cross dressers would interact with children in a way that also raise Police attention. I know you were intending to make a joke but you seem to have the wrong idea that cross-dressing in itself would be frowned on by the Police when really they wouldn't care about it. The only care about people who they believe are breaking the law.

        • @The Land of Smeg: Feeling quite defensive TLOS? Why don't you have a seat over there? Are there some spangled leotards in your closet you want to tell us about?

        • @Amar89: I don't care, I just thought it was a stupid joke to make.

        • +3

@The Land of Smeg: Well it was but I disagree that cops only hassle people that they have reason to believe are breaking the law.

It doesn't take much when it comes to child safety in this country, for people to be seen as monsters. You could be a guy on your way to a Scottish wedding in a kilt and a kid bumps into your leg and from the wrong angle someone at a distance gets an obscene image in their head.

I think dressing in an overtly non-conformist manner and purposely placing yourself near kids could easily get you a lot more attention than you bargained for in this hysterical, nanny state on steroids where anyone who says the word "children" with the wrong tone in their voice is a suspected sex offender; despite the fact you might just be a harmless cross-dresser with no malicious, child-fiddling intent.

        • @Amar89: You could be taking a selfie of yourself and a Star Wars display and be labelled as a Pedo. Just having a penis is enough grounds for concern to some people… but being something that the Police would be interested in without any actual grounds for suspicion is another matter. Nothing specific to cross dressing.

spend more money to buy the costume…

  • +2

In fairness, if you had bought this costume for a dress-up and never planned to wear it again it may finally start to pay itself down.

Thanks for sharing! I'll be coming from work as Princess Peach tomorrow :P Yay for free dress day and no client meetings.
