Anyone who ever owned an LG G2 F320S

Hi guys, long story short. I can buy an LG g2 Korean edition for cheap (F320s/l/k).I am just wondering which version works best in Australia? I am currently with TeleChoice.

There ain't a lot of information about this model on the internet. From all that I saw, the S variant would be the most compatible.

Thanks in advance.

  • F320S Network

    2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
    3G: UMTS 2100 MHz
    4G: LTE 850 / 1800 MHz

    i have the LG G2 D802TA
it supports most bands i think but reception is average worse when wifi is turned on.

  • Hmmm, I wouldn't recommend G2 (at least the Korean model) after the fiasco that LG went through with G2 in Korea; Series of cases where the touch sensor was damaged without visible damamges to the chasis or the screen around 1 years mark in were seen (I think it was even reported on the news which is rare).

KCA (Korean Consumer Agency) (Think of them as Korean version of ACCC) started investigation and their conclusion was depending on the environment that users use the phone in, moisture can cause damages to the touch sensor. The gist I got from what KCA does is that they rarely move unless there are significant amount of complaints on a product, so yeah.

Anyways, LG Electronics Korea did give in and started doing free replacement of the screen for the three models last month "voluntarily".

^I apologise for using Korean websites, but I haven't seen this reported in English yet.

    • Argh, is it just the first batch? The seller is just randomly picking from the 2013/2014 batch.

      • I have absolutely no clue, the KCA page says that LG is providing free replacement for LG-F320K, LG-F320L, LG-F320S models that were sold from 7th August, 2013 onwards. So entire LG G2 model that was sold in Korea is entitled for the free screen replacement, if it suffers from a touch screen problem like I've mentioned.

        • :( I might have to pay $50 extra for a d802 then

F320 is about $150 and d802 is $200. Tough call.

        • @maxhu: I frankly don't see D802 to be much better, but that's just me being me. :P I'd probably go with F320, if it lasts more than 1 year, then it's good. If not, then you've only lost $150, not $200.

        • @Oversimplified: I have been using a D802 for over a year now. It's all good but fingers crossed ;)

  • Rubbish phone - it doesn't support all Aussie bands. 2G is dead, 2100MHz only is just odd, Australia needs 850MHz and/or 900MHz on top. If you want a cheap Android every telco has a locked $100 model that is passable that will have no issues with frequencies.

    • I am only on Telstra's 3G anyway and not planning to move to 4G any time soon. Well, I guess what I am really missing is the Next G UMTS 850MHz. What do you mean by 2100MHz only is just odd?

Well, you certainly can't compare those $100 phones to a G2. The G2 is still retailing for around $350 in Aus.

      • 850MHz IS Telstra 3G. 2100MHz is only a fall back. Its odd as you'd think a phone would support more than one band. I wasn't comparing phones. If you want a phone that works well with Telstra and is 4G and is cheap get a 4GX Buzz.
