I did just buy an iPad mini 4 from Optus on a 24 month contract and it comes with $150 credit if you already has an existing service with them on a 24 month contract. It ended being in my case the cheapest way of buying an ipad right now because I was already paying an extra $10 for 1 GB of data on my mobile per month and this plan came with 1.5 GB and data sharing was allowed.

If u managed to purchase the 10% extra dick Smith gift cards from Coles the other week, that's 10% off. Also an extra 5% by pay wave. Thats what I did. But you wont be able to buy it from the Apple store.
The apple guy in Adelaide rundle mall told me they do price matches for any stores within Adelaide city, if not they would have to call the store. Very weird price matching policy based on location radius.
You could use a mebank card to get 5% off the price at the apple store. But that would involve $99 intervals. And you get around a 5% discount from the apple education store.
Also doubt any of the stores will do discounts on the iPad mini 4 any time soon. It was released less than a month ago, sold out in most dick smiths everywhere! Earliest time for a direct discount should be around Christmas or boxing day.
