Not sure if it is only this coles.. but I always forget to eat fresh avocado's and they eventually go off so these frozen ones are great for my morning smoothies. I usually pay $10 for the 800g bag so I bought 3 today at $7. Rasberries also on special for $7/kg
Nanna's Frozen Avocado $6.99/800g $0.87/100g @ Coles

Would you really risk your health given Nannas track record with raspberries?
After a major health issue is generally the time to buy. They would of had a whole audit team through - at the moment they would be better than their competitors.
Just buy fresh avocado which you can prepare yourself or even freeze if you have to. Who knows where Nanna's are sourcing this product from anyway.
What are you talking about? It comes from Nanna's place doesn't it?
As i know, all Nanna frozen products is made in China.
Their avocado is from Peru. They taste different from the one we have in the supermarket, not as creamy and yummy. I tried Peru's avocado overseas and they are tasteless and much softer. Can't imagine what the frozen one taste like.

Country of origin: Peru.Peru when we grow Avos in Australia. F that. Will never buy that product.
Support Aussie farmers!
It's a real bummer, but I wouldn't buy them again after these reports of DDT, amongst other deadlies were found..

Ah you do realize they were all cleared of any wrong doing in the hep scare right
Thanks OP! :) didn't know this existed. Has anyone used these defrosted in a sandwich or as guacamole dip? Do you still get a good result?
Did not know you could freeze avocado as it goes brown in the fridge.
Thanks OP.But you can only use it in frozen stuff. Tastes awful when defrosted, learnt that the hard way when I bought a box of avocados from the market a while ago.
I've never tried freezing segments of avocado, but I have frozen fresh, mashed avocado in vacuum bags and it tastes fine for guacamole or a dollop au naturale on chilli.
About as much flavor and hygiene as eating frozen dog turd
Please share with us your experience with eating the turd. Probably don't need a full report - just initial impressions will do.
This was at South Melbourne Coles too, seems nation wide.
With avocados coming into season it still is potentially expensive but the raspberries are great value.
