Be careful about the cost of inks if you choose genuine inks.

  • +1

I checked ebay..$9.50 for a black ink cartridge delivered from HK. Is that reasonable? I have no experience with inkjets so I have no idea

F it, bought it anyway. Still have my unopened HP Officejet 2620 that I bought for $17 last time..

  • Tempting, but there doesn't appear to be any linux support :(

  • Any + or - for scanning to Evernote, for example?

  • does it duplex scan? doesnt really say no in the specs?

    • Read a review and I believe it does

"Scans and copies can be made directly from the printer's touchscreen interface to a computer on your network. An automatic document feeder (ADF) sits atop a scanner lid that can rise a little to accommodate the scanning of magazines and books. Double-sided documents can be printed in one pass through the ADF. A 12-page double-sided job was completed and saved as a PDF in 1min 16sec. Meanwhile, a 300dpi, A4 scan, saved as a JPEG, took under 20sec to complete. The quality of text scans, in particular, was good, while colour photo scans were average."

      • Nevermind, I'm wrong. I just called up Canon to ask, you must do it manually if you want double sided scan

    • This model does not do duplex scan, MB5360 does. Nevertheless, this is a great printer for the price.

  • Doh, I made a mistake and did not went thru the cashbackrewards links…

  • Thank you, bought one for my home office. I was eyeing this since Dick Smith's 30% Ebay rebate but had no idea about Canon's cashback scheme. Definitely worth the price tag. Cannon Inkjet printers are the most hassle-free, not to mention their bundled scanner software is the most versatile and that's were I use the hardware most.

    • I am a fan of Canon inkjets but I don't think I can recommend and ink jet over a laser for for business.

  • Price raised to $249.
