Cheapest AV Receiver + Speaker setup.

Hi,

I've just helped boost the national economy by getting in on the new TV + PS3 craze. I'd like a (very) basic surround setup but with ability to upgrade (may not be possible).

Is this my best bet:

    why would u buy the dse speakers and the amp. the speakers has got an amp in the sub woofer
    the amp is quite bad also

    Go to eBay and you can get a second-hand system with much better quality. I got a set of 5.1 Wharfedale speakers which sound great for $100. There are some cheap amps on there as well.

      Yeah, you'll actually get something of half decent quality that's secondhand.
      Quality sound is something you'll really appreciate.
