There's some great bargains on the Christmas stuff (candy canes, lollies, chocolates, wrapping paper etc) — it's the same at my local Coles in Townsville as well. Stuff has to sit around for 11 months, but that's okay.
Oddly though, I paid a visit to the local Target store and they've got aisles of Christmas stuff @ full retail price. Not sure what they're trying to achieve with that..maybe just too lazy to take it down and will call it "getting ready early"…
I noted that as well. Target are really slow in comparison to other stores with Christmas markdowns. Maybe they are in no rush to use that space for other promotions…
That would be surprising given that back to school sales have been in full swing since after new year and other stores are starting to put Easter stuff up.
golly gosh, the cheese was expensive :( unless thats special stuff. :P
only the finest :P
It's rather sad that the first thing I noticed was that the self checkout used a slightly different font to a normal Coles receipt.
hahaha, i was in there yesterday and bought the exact same thing!!!
good deal if you dont mind looking like a fool eating candy canes well into the month of february and beyond :)
