IWanTthatFlight Scam or Is This Normal ?

Trying to book flights to europe and every search on Iwantthatflight.com gives me results that have companies that I have never heard of. They also come up as third party suppliers in helloworld. The company is called byojet . Because of the helloworld connection I put my credit card details in. But after doing all the details etc it comes up with airfair doesnt exist, and suggests some much higher price.

I had only used iwanthatflight for domestic until I read on OB some great deal via IWTF. Is this normal on IWTF to get BS results?

    iwantthatflight isn't a scam, it just searches flight prices from various companies you can book with and links you, sometimes flights/prices can be off depending on the company.

    Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean anything, there are many companies around the world you can book through

    IWTF is fine, they simply just pull the prices they get from the various travel angency websites and show you the cheapest. You might not of heard of them but there's a whole web of agency sites out there you know…

    What does seem to be dodgy in this is byojet. They seem to always mistakenly sold a seat that has 'just sold out' beforehand, a lot of the time. If the review pages are anything to go by.

    Obviously people writing reviews are most likely the negative ones and not many positives but the story seems to be awfully the same from quite a few reviewers.

    well i read the negative reviews of byojet and they all describe very similar experience to mine. The money is deducted and then they decline the booking asking for an additional amount.
    This is not good enough IWTF your pristine reputation will go down the drain if you dont vet these third party suppliers. Your choice I guess but you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

      Well i don't think anyone can really prove they are pulling this potentially dodgy practice so can only assume it really does happen. You can perhaps PM the rep on here with what has happend, plus the reviews link but i wouldn't expect it to change.
