Hi all,
I'm heading off on a 6 month round the world trip next year with my family. Last time we did the journey, we used suitcases. This time around, we'd like to travel light. Wheeled backpacks look like a good solution for us, as they would leave our hands free to push strollers and wrangle wayward children. Does anyone have recommendations? So far, the Osprey Sojourn (a 60L for myself, and an 80L for my husband) is at the top of the list, but I was hoping to find something a little less costly.
Thank you!
basically most wheeled back packs are uncomfortable on your back for any given length of time due to the frame.
I've been using a Caribee Fast track for a little of five years now and over 20+ countries.
I find i tend to wheel almost everywhere and if not just carry it by the main strap on the side.
I find that adjusting all the straps and putting it on my back to be inefficient for the amount of time i'll have it on there - let's say walking up stairs, across sand etc.
Don't get me wrong i love my bag and it's got plenty more years in it yet!
I strongly suggest you make a choice between a light weight pull along or a proper back pack.
as you are getting two maybe a combination of both.
