LED Advertising/Roadworks Trailers

I'm in NSW. Those advertising trailers you see warning of roadworks ahead… Does anyone know - can you just buy, and park it on the side of the road to advertise your weekend event? Or will you get fined if you don't have some kind of government permission?

  • you need council permission/permit, we went through the process to advertise our events and found it was too much of a headache.

  • Thanks… Hm… What about trailers that have fixed (painted/vinyl) signs - do you happen to know if it's the same?

What I'm thinking is, people put stickers, for sale signs, etc. on their own cars - park them on the side of the road. And lawn mowing businesses have their details on their trailers… I wonder if we could do something like that - even if we had to leave the trailer hitched to a car and parked - or painted it on the side of a van, or a bus… if that would still require permission?

      That's a douche move, don't do that.

      • Sorry, what do you mean? (Please be open - what do you see wrong with it?)
