I've been looking at getting a windows 10 mini pc to hook up to a tv for Xbox One Streaming. I've found a few at gearbest that look suitable for the price I wanted to pay. But all I'm reading on Ozbargain about them is that I should steer clear because of packages never arriving, taking months to get here, etc.
Any recommendations on a safer alternative to Gearbest?

I've had good experiences with banggood. However, they are generally much the same if they're sending low priority parcels.
I second Banggood. No issues and very good reviews at Trust Pilot (https://au.trustpilot.com/review/www.banggood.com). Gear Best and Geek buying and even Ali Express have appalling reviews. You will often find the item you seek on ebay and I have only had a couple of issues from 100s of buys. Generally to avoid negative comments, they will refund if there's an issue and Paypal helps also if the item takes too long. If an item takes longer than the expected time, the merchant always asks you to wait '1 more week' but I found out the hard way this can ruin your chances of getting a Paypal refund, so I always refuse to wait any longer, rather I insist on a refund and then tell them (honestly) I will re-send the funds if the item ever turns up.
Yep Banggood, I buy stacks of stuff through them, if I have a problem they ask for the video and then send a replacement.
Delivery seems to have improved recently most stuff arriving in the 2 to 3 week window.
Ive bought a bunch of stuff from buyincoins never had an issue, ship straight away and arrived within a month
Dealsmachine sent my order very fast. Arrived in 3 weeks from the date of ordering. The price of the item was the lowest on the internet.

"Agree 100%. Don't do it. I bought a mini pc off them about 8 weeks ago. To try and sum this up quickly, the package only contained the powerplug, they offered a partial refund, i declined, i opened a paypal dispute, DealsMachine responded to say it was completely their fault but needed me to close the paypal case, I refused, they have since gone dark and have stopped communicating with. I've just received an email from paypal asking me to file a police report and email it to them.
Its been an absolute headache. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! "
Nice. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm going to steer clear of Gearbest and I've gone with Dealsmachine. I couldn't find what I needed anywhere else.
I ended up getting a little windows 10 box delivered for $125. So I'll see how that goes when it gets here. Sounds like it'll be about 3 weeks.
Work out exactly what you want to buy, search Google/staticICE/OzBargain to find a more reliable seller.
