Installing now, received an eBay message with the CD key and instructions to create a USB Windows 10 Install. Nothing out of the ordinary to report yet.
Installed and had no issues. Im away from the computer for the next 3 weeks or so, but everything installed fine.
Hi, just wondering if you've had the Windows 10 Upgrade pop up come up to advise that you can upgrade? I've just installed an SSD and loaded on an acquired Win 7 I had, but not getting the option to upgrade to Win 10…
its against the ebay rules to sell intangible goods isn't it? a lot of these guys get away with it by sending an envelope with the code. however, that doesn't affect whether the seller's legit or not. no paypal protection if it goes wrong though.
I'm not aware of any legality issues within eBay regarding "digital goods". There actually is PayPal protection with digital goods now, however the maximum limit depends on your currency; for Australia, the maximum you can be refunded is $9.99 AU
If you haven't bought it yet, might I suggest checking out reddit for their prices.
I have personally bought win7 from ebay before and it turned out to be some illegitimate/pirated key so I'm gonna stay away from there.
On the other hand I bought a second win7 key from one of the guys I linked and I'm now running a properly activated copy of win10.
