Same here, just got home from the Victor Harbor SA store.

      "Reduced to clear $37.60 - Save $4.70"

I also took it to the register and asked them to scan it and it come up as $37.60 there as well.

Not sure how the regular price is $19 in the Port Lincoln store but even that's a good price.

    • That coles needs a face lift

I've broken out of the Gillette Monopoly by buying just a very basic Safety Razor like this: http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/blade-shavers/mens… and buying double-sided Razor blades which are cheap and last a long time. I find that I get a cleaner and smoother shave than Gilette Fusion even though the Fusion runs 5 blades across at once and the Safety Razor is only 1. I did have a few cuts the first few times I tried it but my skin quickly got used to it and it's not a problem anymore.

    • I agree, it's one of those things where you end up paying more of convenience but if you can used to it, a true ozbargainer will know you save crap loads with the basic one blades

I went from Gillette stuff to electric shavers….. it more pricey in the original outlay but it has been a few years and still going strong

    • You were winning at ye olde Ozbargaine when it was a letterpress list pinned up on a trading post…

    • Agreed. I have been using a double-edged safety razor and badger hair brush for the last three years. The blades (decent ones) cost me $20 per 100 delivered. I havent even gone through the 100 pack in two years yet.

      • where did you get the 100 pack from? What brand?

        • I have tried like 30 different types of blades and found the Astra branded ones to be the best for my stubble.
I bought the 100 pack off Ebay. I actually exaggerated, only cost me like $13 delivered!

        • @antt: Yeah cool. My Razor came with 10 Astra ones which lasted me at least a year. Then I went on holiday and I forgot my Razor so I bought a second one, and that came with shitty Dorco blades. I bought the Dorcos back with me, eventually ran out of the Astra so switched onto the Dorco. I couldn't stand Dorco so I bought some Wilkinson Sword from Coles (Gilette … ugh) Wilkinson Sword is not bad but it sort of defeats the point, so looks like I'll be going back to Astra. Thanks a lot!

        • @The Land of Smeg: Yeah those Wilkinson sword are 10 times the price of the Astra and not as good IMO. And you're welcome

    • Agree it's been a while since I've bought cartridge refills. Can't believe that prices like these are even classified as deals. Not taking away from the post. But I NEED to shave every couple days and cartridges started becoming uneconomical. For $10 I could buy 100 Derby blades.

I was on the fence as well about DE razors. Why would I spend $60+ on a razor? But if you account for the price of blades it's totally worth it. I enjoy shaving and get next to no rash (compared to 2 blade).

  • Are the "Reduced to clear" signs in Coles ever nationwide?

  • I rarely shave completely, just clean up the neck area so I get quite a lot of use out of one blade. This is a very good price considering how overpriced they normally are!

OP, Interested in buying up 5 or so packets and sending them to Vic? Postage at my cost obviously. I'll chip in an extra packet for yourself for the effort!

  • Will coles online price match their own store?

  • Stock on the shelf is all gone now. Sorry, can't buy and post to anyone.
