Hello,
How do you entertain the kids over the holidays? More importantly, how do you keep them out of trouble?
1 week in and I've run out of ideas.
Thanks!

Minecraft + Cube of Fanta + Case of Cheezels + Litter Box = Should be good for a week.
How old are your kids?
They are 6 year old. A boy and a girl.
The Park. Take bats & balls, frisbee, a picnic rug, food & drinks. Take the dog.
Swimming pool.
The beach!
Go fishing (kids love it).
Painting at home. Big sheets of butcher paper, art smocks, cheap paints, potato prints, etc.
Then use the painted butchers paper as Christmas present wrapping paper.
Local library usually has activities.
Take them to a car yard and look at and play in cars. Give them the challenge to find the cheapest and most expensive cars. Count how many different colour cars and how many of each colour.
Harvey Norman furniture store. Give them a pad and pencil and tell them to plan how they would fill their dream house. Get them to plan what rooms they have and then what furniture for each room.
Ikea is great as well, give the kids those paper measuring tapes, get the kids to measure furniture for their dream house… AND you can have a cheap lunch while you're there.
Hook them on WOW, then sell off their characters for cash
Indoor play centres are good to burn off energy for 2 hours even if it rains. Then chill at home with a movie. Ask them if they wanna go to friends house or a friend come over. Go ride bikes.
The problem is that the kids are a little accident-prone.They probably inherited that little trait from me :P One "fell off" a tree the other day. Not too sure how it happened, or why he was 'on' a tree" but I was sent a pic of my son's black and blue bottom by my daughter O_O
I'm putting them straight to work pulling weeds. Come shearing time next next week they'll be sweeping the shed floor and picking out the dags. Fun fun fun! They usually keep themselves busy around the place checking under rocks for bugs with the dogs. I'm not the best parent for planning fun activities. I'm an avoider of social kid events.
Mum does it better getting them cooking and taking them to group kid sessions in town. I think the library is one.
checking under rocks for bugs with the dogs.
Surely truffle hunting would be more profitable.
Do you call your wife "mum"?
Yeah, oddly enough it's her first name.
You sure it's not "Mon", short for "Monica"?
Perhaps you've been mishearing it OldBugger.
@Scrooge McDuck: lol
Usually Shopping Centres have activities during the school holidays for kids. Not sure of all of them have it but I have been seeing flyers from my local Shopping Centre.
Video games?
